I love this light, fruity &  refreshing Pineapple mango smoothie- such a delicious tropical flavoured breakfast to wake upto!

Yes, our smoothie love is still going strong! But before  I bring out new ones, I realized that I have quite a few smoothie recipes languishing somewhere in this blog. So I’ve  started this project to bring them out one by one, retesting & updating them and the pictures as well.  Stay with me, my friends, you’ll see many recipes for the summer right here, to make your smoothie game really strong! 🙂

Today, I have the king of fruits – mango, combined with fresh juicy pineapple and chilled coconut water. Just like a tropical pina colada! Just lighter,  very refreshing and so much more virtuous! We all love that fresh, fruity, CLEAN start to the day, don’t we?

Using seasonal, local produce just makes the taste pop out even more, in my opinion. Also, its better for the environment, economy and our health. That said, I really have nothing against buying frozen fruits, if you need to. I do give into a bag of frozen blueberries myself sometimes.:)

There is seriously nothing much to the recipe, though I would strongly recommend freezing the fruits before blending them. It makes the smoothies creamy and thick. But if you don’t get a chance to do that, no sweat, just add some ice and it will be like a glorious slushie!

Pineapple Mango Smoothie

This healthy, vegan, delicious Pineapple Mango Smoothie is so refreshing! I love to use locally grown, seasonal fruits, they impart such a terrific flavour!
Servings: 2 persons

Ingredients

  • 1 Banana, sliced and frozen
  • 1 Mango, diced and frozen
  • 1/2 cup Pineapple, diced and frozen
  • 1.5 cup Coconut water
  • A handful of ice optional

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. Add more water if you want a thinner consistency. Taste and adjust for sweetener, using any sweetener of your choice. Enjoy!
