French Hearts (Palmier Cookies)

With just 3 ingredients you get a flaky, crispy pastry cookie with layers that hide gorgeous flavors of caramelized sugar & aromatic cinnamon!

Prep the puff pastry

Roll out the puff pastry &  sprinkle with sugar + cinnamon powder on the dough

Prep the log

Roll into a log - starting with one long side, start rolling the dough tightly until the center. Repeat on the other side.

Prep to bake

Chill the log for 20 mins, then 1/4" thick slices & place on the baking tray. 

Bake!

Bake for 12-14 minutes until the pastry is all puffed up & golden brown in color.

Pro Tip: Before baking, toss the unbaked cookies in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. For those who love the caramelized crunch, I recommend this extra step to coat the cookies!
