You can use regular cow milk, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tashasartisanfoods.com\/blog\/diy-almond-milk\/\">almond milk<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tashasartisanfoods.com\/blog\/oat-milk\/\">oat milk<\/a> instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chia seeds:<\/strong> it\u2019s the ingredient to the quickest, easiest, and healthiest breakfast. When soaked in any liquid, the seeds transform into gelatinous balls, with a thick consistency quite like sago, or tapioca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Strawberries:<\/strong> Feel free to use fresh or frozen strawberries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Banana:<\/strong> For making this chia pudding sweet, hearty, and creamy. Fresh or frozen banana will work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sweetener:<\/strong> I used maple syrup here. You can easily substitute with honey. One, it saves me the inevitable hassle of getting a rushed breakfast on the table.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two, it gives the chia enough time to absorb the liquid and become gorgeously thick. I\u2019ve never had trouble with runny chia pudding like some recipes do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Blend milk, maple syrup, strawberries, and banana in a blender until smooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Transfer to a small bowl or jar. Whisk in the chia seeds.\u00a0Cover and chill in the refrigerator overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Stir it well the next morning.\u00a0Add a bit more milk, if the consistency is too thick for you. Taste and adjust for sweetness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> Top with chopped strawberries, pistachio, and shredded toasted coconut. Usually, the fruits in the chia pudding or on top are good enough. A light drizzle of maple syrup or honey is also lovely.
