It makes the crepes light and airy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sugar:<\/strong> I used a small amount of powdered sugar for a touch of sweetness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Oil:<\/strong> Traditionally melted butter is used for making crepes. But I went with coconut oil instead. By all means, stick to an equivalent quantity of butter if you wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Milk:<\/strong> For giving the crepes a lovely soft texture. Please use <em>lukewarm<\/em> full-fat milk. And truth be told, there\u2019s barely any difference between eggless and egg versions! They\u2019re equally delectable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To make them vegan<strong>,<\/strong> try plant-based milk. Almond milk, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tashasartisanfoods.com\/blog\/cashew-milk\/\">oat milk<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tashasartisanfoods.com\/blog\/cashew-milk\/\">cashew milk<\/a>, or coconut milk will work.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To make gluten-free crepes, switch the flour to buckwheat or your favorite gluten-free flour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To make the crepes richer, substitute the coconut oil with regular butter. Make sure it is melted.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 id=\"how-to-make-strawberry-crepes\"   class=\"wp-block-heading\" >How To Make Strawberry Crepes?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Combine the flour and icing sugar in a bowl. Stir in the milk, coconut oil, and vanilla extract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2: <\/strong>Whisk well to make a smooth, lump-free batter. Use a pastry brush to spread the oil evenly on the pan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> Pour a ladle full of batter in the center of the pan and quickly swirl it around the pan, so it spreads evenly all over the surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> Cook for 2-3 minutes, carefully flip it over. The coconut oil should be melted and slightly warm. The milk is just a tad bit over room temperature, not hot.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The crepes have a nicer texture when the batter has rested. You can make the batter up to a day in advance. Give it a good stir before using.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As much as I love my cast iron, personally, I feel the non-stick is the best choice<strong> <\/strong>for making crepes. It allows amazing control over the amount of oil you use. So, you don\u2019t end up with greasy and clumpy stacks but paper-thin delicate crepes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 id=\"how-to-serve\"   class=\"wp-block-heading\" >How To Serve<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The whole reason I made these crepes was to indulge in<strong> <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tashasartisanfoods.com\/blog\/strawberry-chia-jam\/\">strawberry chia jam<\/a>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We just plonked as much of the jam as our heart desired right in the middle, folded the crepe, topped with Nutella, and dug in!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The jam brings to the lacy and delicate pancakes a heavenly note - utterly luscious and fresh. The taste is so refreshing that you can have it as a dessert <em>and <\/em>breakfast. Yum!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can roll, fold, and wrap crepes with almost anything:&nbsp;whipped cream, nut butter, Nutella, or plain with honey, maple syrup, or a dusting of icing sugar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pander to your taste and load them up without worrying about the crepes breaking. But they will keep well in the refrigerator for up to 2 days without the jam filling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Right before you serve, reheat them on a stovetop.
