Together, these two are melted to make the cake fudgy and decadent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sugar:<\/strong> I used raw sugar; feel free to use regular white sugar or even brown sugar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Soy milk:<\/strong> For making the batter smooth and creamy. Because the eggs and flour are missing, it doesn\u2019t behave like a regular cake. I deem the cake done when the top is cooked, and the center is just a tad wobbly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The cake will rise a bit during baking and will sink as it cools. Don't worry, this is normal!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Soy milk should be <em>warm<\/em>, so it doesn\u2019t seize the chocolate when you mix it in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t overbeat the batter. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Don\u2019t risk using a regular cake tin. A spring-form pan is your best bet here!\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you\u2019re worried about overbaking, keep an eye out after you cross the 30-minute marker. Resist opening the oven door to check.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tent the cake with foil in case the top starts browning too fast.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Let the cake cool in your pan, and then place it in the fridge. Don\u2019t be in a hurry; give it at least an hour. It should do the trick, but it\u2019s best to keep it overnight. Don\u2019t panic when you see a little crater forming. It\u2019s par for the course for this recipe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This cake is delicious served cold or at room temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can serve the as-is, it's fabulous!
