I had a fresh pumpkin with a thin skin, so I didn\u2019t need to peel it. If the skin in yours is tough, peel it away.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chop the ends:<\/strong>&nbsp;Place the pumpkin on a stable cutting board. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut off the top and bottom to create flat surfaces to work with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Slice in half:<\/strong>&nbsp;Stand the pumpkin upright on one of the flat ends. Hold it steady and carefully slice it in half vertically from top to bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scrape the pumpkin guts:<\/strong>&nbsp;Use a spoon or an ice cream scoop to remove the seeds and fibrous strands of pulp from each half. Save the seeds.
