Not because I follow a gluten-free diet, but because I enjoy experimenting with alternative flours. Add a little milk if it\u2019s too thick.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can safely&nbsp;<strong>taste the batter<\/strong>&nbsp;since it's eggless to check if you'd like to add more&nbsp;<strong>sweetener<\/strong>&nbsp;to it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be&nbsp;<strong>careful not to overcook<\/strong>&nbsp;brownies in the waffle iron. They'll be too dry otherwise. I find that ragi flour needs more liquid than regular all-purpose flour, and overbaking can dry out the brownie waffles. You can use buckwheat flour, as I did for my&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tashasartisanfoods.com\/blog\/apple-cinnamon-buckwheat-waffles\/\">apple cinnamon waffles,<\/a>&nbsp;or use any of your favorite gluten-free flours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to make regular brownie waffles, simply use&nbsp;<strong>all-purpose flour<\/strong>&nbsp;or whole-wheat, whatever your palate loves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chocolate<\/strong>: Ragi has an earthy, rustic taste that, in my opinion, goes very well with chocolate. And since this is a chocolate brownie waffle recipe, I used both cocoa powder and a little bit of melted 70% dark chocolate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Egg<\/strong>: This is not your usual light and airy waffle recipe. It\u2019s dense and gooey, like a brownie and I wanted to keep this egg-free. If you\u2019re using brownie mix to make these waffle brownies, I would recommend adding an egg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sweetener:&nbsp;<\/strong>maple syrup, honey, or jaggery\u2014all of them work in the brownie waffles recipe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Peanut<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>butter<\/strong> gives the gluten-free brownie waffles fudginess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Milk<\/strong>: Use any you prefer.
