They have soft green stems, which you can leave on if you prefer. I snip them off using kitchen scissors. You can use frozen mulberries if fresh ones aren't available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chia seeds<\/strong>: Chia seeds don\u2019t have any flavor of their own and expand to almost 10 times their size when mixed with any liquid. They help thicken and set the mulberry jam without pectin. You can use chia seed powder as well. These little guys pack a nutritional punch too. Making this jam healthy and wholesome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Honey:<\/strong> I love the mild floral notes of honey in this mulberry chia seed jam. You can also use maple syrup, agave syrup, or sugar.
