Ingredients
Peach Simple Syrup
1cup Water
1/2cup sugarYou may need to add more according to your preference
2Peaches, chopped roughly
Iced Tea - cold brew
4cupsWater
4tspBroken Orange Pekoe Tea/ OolongPlease use levelled teaspoons of tea
Iced Tea - hot brew
4cups Water
3tspAssam/ Darjeeling teaPlease use levelled teaspoons of tea
Instructions
Peach Simple Syrup
Combine the sugar, peaches and water in a small saucepan. Cook over medium to high heat for 10-15 minutes. Mash the peaches with a spoon as they get softer. Take it off the heat and let the peaches steep in the syrup for 15-20 minutes.
Strain the syrup into a small bowl, pressing the peaches as much as you can get to get the maximum flavour. Store in a jar.
Iced Tea - cold brew
Stir in the tea in the water. Refrigerate for 8 hours upto a maximum of 12 hours. Strain and mix in the peach syrup. Garnish with mint/basil leaves. Enjoy chilled!
Iced Tea - hot brew
Boil the water. As soon as it reaches boiling point, turn off the heat and add the tea leaves. Steep for 4-5 minutes. Strain and let cool. Once its cooled, stir in the peach syrup. Garnish with mint/basil leaves. Enjoy chilled!
If you like stronger tea, you can add another teaspoon of tea in the hot water.
