The recipe for Persian love cake is super simple! The delicious cake has a dense & heavy crumb that is perfectly decadent.


–  All-purpose flour –Almond flour –  Baking powder –  Baking soda – Cardamom powder – Nutmeg, freshly grated – Lemon zest – Caster sugar –  Greek yogurt, plain –  Coconut oil – Lemon juice

In a bowl, whisk together almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, caster sugar, and salt.

- Add cardamom powder, freshly grated nutmeg, and lemon zest to the dry ingredients.

- Separately, combine Greek yogurt, coconut oil, rose water, and lemon juice.

Fold the wet ingredients into the dry using a spatula, & then pour into a pan.

step 4

Bake for 30 - 35 mins.  In the meantime, prepare your icing glaze!
