This Mango Avocado Salsa is the perfect mix of tangy, spicy and sweet, with a freshness and crunch that makes for the best chip dip or side dish!
Another summer day, another mango recipe! Today I’m bringing you my quick and delicious Mango Avocado Salsa. With a handful of ingredients and just 10 minutes, you can have a refreshing dip that is great for snacking and entertaining!
The rich creaminess of the avocado and silkiness of the mangos create a wonderful texture. The red onions and red bell peppers bring a fantastic crunch to the recipe. I chose to make mine a little mild on the spice, feel free to add more jalapenos or chilies to match your preference!
Aside from how refreshing and yummy this salsa is, I also love it for the healthy properties of its star ingredients – mango and avocado. Mangos are a rich source of polyphenols, which are organic micronutrients found plants, that have multiple health benefits and are rich in antioxidants. It has been linked to boosting immunity and improved digestive health.
Avocados are loaded with vitamins and are an excellent source of good quality fats. It is rich in potassium and like mangos, high on antioxidants too! So, these two pack quite a punch, bringing a combination of sweetness and umami as well as multiple nutrients.
Mango Avocado Salsa is super easy to make and goes well with almost anything! It’s wonderful with tortilla chips, tacos, fish and burritos. We can’t wait to try it with chicken and rice bowls as well. I adjust the seasoning according to what I want to serve it with, adding more salt and pepper or even a little cumin when it’s just with chips.
I’m a big advocate of simple, fresh, healthy homemade foods, and this recipe delivers on all fronts. The Mango Avocado Salsa is delicious and full of goodness from healthy fats to fiber! It’s the perfect addition to your everyday meals, making them more nourishing and enjoyable.
