I do like to load up my smoothies with oats, sometimes soaked buckwheat, nuts, seeds. The combinations are endless and so are the toppings. My favourite always being a sprinkling of my homemade granola. You can get some wonderful recipes for the same on this blog, like -
NOTES:
- You can cut the fruits and put them in freezer the night before to save on prep time in the mornings. Plus, the frozen fruits make smoothies very creamy.
- I usually don't sweeten my smoothies at all as the fruits do that job very well. But if you do prefer to, go ahead use dates, date syrup, honey, maple syrup or any other sweetener of your choice.
- Make this smoothie VEGAN by using any plant-based yogurt or milk.
