Natasha Minocha, the baker behind Tasha's Artisan Foods

My food philosophy

I believe baking doesn’t have to be intimidating or require fancy ingredients. With a little encouragement and the right recipe, anyone can bake something beautiful and delicious.

Through Tasha’s Artisan Foods, I hope to make baking feel less like a chore and more like the joy it truly is.

What you’ll find on Tasha’s Artisan Foods

  1. Tried and tested baking recipes that even beginners can follow with confidence.

  2. Wholesome, everyday meals for busy days and cozy nights.

  3. Indian favorites, both sweet and savory, rooted in tradition with a modern twist.

  4. Helpful tips, ingredient swaps, and step-by-step guidance - because I want you to succeed and have fun while you’re at it.

All my recipes are created, tested (often multiple times!), photographed, and filmed in my kitchen. Every image and video you see is styled and shot by me, another part of the process I absolutely love!

My inspiration

My biggest inspiration? My parents! They shared their deep love and respect for food, as well as their unrelenting spirit to try new cuisines and recipes, and make them their own. Their influence is woven into everything I cook and bake.

My journey

Early beginnings

I’ve been baking since I was 13, ever since my mom handed me a worn-out baking book to keep me occupied during her afternoon naps. Little did she know she was igniting a lifelong passion!

Moscow, Michigan, then home

I spent some years living in Moscow and Michigan, where I fell deeper in love with cooking and how food connects people across cultures. When I moved back to India, I turned my passion into a full-time baking and catering business - Tasha’s Artisan Foods. I baked for birthdays, brunches, weddings, and everything in between.

2020

In 2020, I closed that chapter to pour my heart into this blog. Same name, new mission: to make baking feel easy, joyful, and totally doable!

Questions I get a lot

How did you come up with the name?

Before I was a blogger, I was one of the first artisanal home-based catering companies in my city! Tasha’s Artisan Foods started as a small-batch homemade cupcake business. The best ingredients, no compromise on quality, all from my beloved kitchen. Cupcakes turned into large dessert orders, then massive events. I started documenting my favorite recipes here!

Are your recipes beginner-friendly?

Absolutely. Every recipe is developed with beginners in mind. Each of my posts has step-by-step instructions, images, and a video tutorial to leave as little room for error as possible!

Do you have Indian recipes?

Yes, and some of them are the most popular recipes on here! From beginner-friendly mithai to my family’s recipe for sooji ka halwa, I’ve covered the basic sweets and snacks I actually make every year. If you need a shortcut to my desi recipes, click here!

What if I’m in the mood for something savory?

Search for a vegetable, and chances are I have a salad or soup recipe for it! I cook healthy, nourishing meals through the week, and several of those recipes are featured here. In fact the number one recipe on this blog is for Sticky Sesame Cauliflower!

Can I make a recipe suggestion or request?

I’m all ears! So many of my recipes have come from reader requests. If you’re looking for a recipe and can’t find it here, DM me on Instagram or shoot me an email. I’ll do my best to make it for you!
