A sweet brisk cocktail to kick-start your weekend! This delightful Cherry Gin and Tonic just need 4 ingredients and a big glass!
At this point, saying its hot is an understatement. It has been a recurring theme in my blogs recently to complain about the heat and then share the food and drinks that keep me sane through it; today I continue that! This Cherry Gin and Tonic combine two of my summer favourites – cherries and cool drinks. It doesn’t hurt that the drink has gin. A far cry from my standard summer coolers of lassis and smoothies, this cocktail certainly spruced up my weekend! Last month I made a classic gin and tonic which was great! But with stone fruit season in full swing, I had plenty of cherries at home.
And what recipe is not made better with fresh fruit?
So some cherries, gin, tonic water and a hint of lime came together, to make my night of Netflix watching at home seem far more fabulous than it was! This recipe for Cherry Gin and Tonic is super easy to make. Take a small bunch of cherries, pit them, add to your glass and lightly muddle/crush them. Add a dash of gin, and some lime juice – throw in copious amounts of ice and top it off with tonic water.
To add an extra touch, you can add some garnish! I went for a little slice of lime, which makes the drink look even more delightful.
With just 4 ingredients and a few minutes, you can be rewarded with this lovely, crisp Cherry Gin and Tonic! It’s the perfect recipe for parties, barbeques, a quiet night in – you name it, this drink fits in! With the 4th of July coming up, I hope some of you who will be entertaining are inspired to try this out.
