I love making quick and easy jams, compotes, chutneys at home. Quick and easy  being the keywords here! Anything with more than 5 ingredients and 3 steps, and you’ve lost me forever!! 🙂

This Beetroot Apple Ginger Chutney has stayed with me for just this reason. Not only is it a really fast one, but it tastes like you’ve slaved over your stove for ages and looks fancy enough to put out on your fanciest cheese platters..I mean just look at that intense ruby red colour!!

Glutenfree Brownie Waffles

We are a big waffle/ pancake family..well at least the kids are and I enjoy them occasionally too. More often than not, I have a batch in my freezer for a quick school day breakfast. It makes them ( these days the little man only as the daughter is away to college) happy and its one of the few things they’ll eat before school. So to his utter joy, last few days, he’s been getting treated to these Brownie Waffles! Please note, chocolate sauce is for a special afternoon treat, mornings are all about honey or maple syrup! 🙂

Do I need to shout out my love for jamuns every season? Yes, I believe so!! 🙂

While everybody is talking about mangoes ( don’t get me wrong, I am too!) , not too many pay attention to this gorgeous plump juicy fruit that thrives in this monsoon season. And like many  others, my family isn’t particularly fond of it either..its a different story when I turn it into compotes, smoothies, nice creams, popsicle,  cooling drinks or like I did today into vegan Jamun ( Java Plum) Icecream…a ridiculously easy 4 ingredient recipe!!
